Project Accountant Responsibilities This role is responsible for supporting the firm in a variety of ways including but not limited to:
Primary responsibility is monthly Client Invoicing using Ajera accounting software
Manage project-related vendor invoices
Collaborate with Clients, Project Managers & deliverables calendar to determine accurate billing
Regular analysis and reporting to Project Managers to determine additional billing opportunities
Collections and other Client follow-up as needed
Create, update and close project records in accordance with project requirements & firm protocols
Review Project Agreements and coordinate execution with management
Develop and manage Subconsultant Agreements to align with Prime Agreements
Oversee Certificate of Insurance compliance for Clients & Subconsultants
Other related tasks as assigned
Key Competencies These are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform this role:
Proficiency with Ajera Project Management & Accounting Software
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite & PDF software (Bluebeam/Adobe)
Fluent with terms and typical phases in the project life cycle
Familiarity with AIA Contract Document Series
Able to manage multiple duties and deadlines
Professionalism in all client interactions
Able to problem-solve & navigate various client-specific accounting platforms & distribution directives
Strong positive communication skills and work ethic
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree, other college level education, or equivalent relevant experience
3+ years of experience in A/E/C industry performing similar role
